Oct. 17th, 2006 - It has been wonderful seeing all our freinds at the different churches and venues we've visited in 2006. We're excited about the opportunities God has in store for us in the future. We hope you'll be able to come out and worship with us when we're in your neighborhood. Thanks for your continued support, encouragement and love.

June. 6 2006 - (Mark C) First, I want to thank everyone that comes to this site to support and encourage us. You really have no idea what it means to us. I also want to thank my bandmates for all they do to make this band continue to move forward. I have never worked with players more dedicated to making the band's performance sound as good as it can and who truly care how we perform every night as a group. Something people don't see is that this group always gives 110% no matter how big or small the crowd is. We feel that if you take the time to come out, then you deserve to get all we can give. This is the first band I have been in that I feel can and has made a difference in some small way. You guys are making a dream come true for me and I just want to thank you for that ....... Mark

April 12 - SCHEDULING CHANGE - We will be at the Daily Grind in Salem this Friday, April 14, instead of April 21 as we recently posted. The date has been changed twice in the past couple of weeks, and we're sorry for any confusion or inconvience. We always have a great time at Daily Grind . . . we hope you'll join us this Friday night.

April 11 - We're looking forward to returning to Daily Grind this Friday, especially since it has been over a month since we have played locally. However, March was quite a month for 2MJ away from the stage.

On March 11 we celebrated the wedding of our guitarist, James, who after ** years (many) relinquished his status as a confirmed bachelor. We extend our heartfelt best wishes to James and Michelle.

Also in March, Jeff spent eight days in Honduras on a medical assistance mission with the International Medical Assistance Corporation, a Christian organization based in Shelbyville, TN. IMAC traveled to various locations in Honduras to provide medical assistance, as well as spiritual outreach, to over seventeen hundred underpriviledged people. A special thank you to Dr. Don Barnes and his wife Sondra for the opportunity to participate in this incredible journey.

This past weekend 2MJ had the opportunity to spend the weekend in Shelbyville with the Barnes' and to play twice in Shelbyville and once in Gallatin while there. Thanks once again to Don and Sondra for their hospitality, love and patience. Also, we want to thank all those who attended the services. Our network of friends continues to grow. We pray that God will bless you for your hospitality and support.

April 10 ( Steve ) Hey Guys, well we made it back safely from our trip to Nashville. We had some really good times there playing our music for lots of new faces. But, what we didn't expect was the weather that we experineced. We had 10 tornados, 3 of which were in Gallatin, Tn. while we were next door in Shelbyville. We played in Gallatin on Saturday night, and saw the mass destruction first hand. Pray for these communities as they mourn their lost lives, and begin the process of figuring out how to rebuild . To all the people we met in Shelbyville, and Gallatin, you will be in our prayers, GOD bless...

March 26 - (Jeff Hill) Hello from El Progresso, Honduras. Today is the last day of my trip to Honduras. I´ll be returning to the USA tomorrow. The nine days I have spent here have been an incredible experience. Thank you all for your prayers of support, and please continue to pray for a safe trip home. I´ll look forward to sharing more about my trip in the days ahead. I´m looking forward to getting home to see my family and to return to ministering with 2MJ. See you all very soon!

Feb. 20th-(Steve S.) Some of you might have noticed that our message board decided to take a vacation. We've corrected the problem and it is now functioning normally. We will try to post your messages as we get them. Also, we are working hard to complete the CD project. Here's what's going on with the guys in the band. In the month of March, James is going to say, I DO! Steve is teaming with Dan River Emmaus on a men's week-end walk in N.C. Jeff is going to Honduras for two weeks on a mission trip, and Mark is helping a Roanoke church put a music program together. As you can see we have a busy schedule ahead. We cherish your prayers. Check out our schedule page, and we hope to see ya' soon.

January 17 - The new year has started off with a bang for 2MJ. In the past couple of weeks we've had two fantastic programs. This past Friday night at Daily Grind in Salem was a blast. All those in attendance made it a memorable occasion for us. Thank you for the spirit and energy you brought to the room. It is wonderful to be able to celebrate Christ in a unique setting like the Daily Grind provides. A special thank you to Erin and Linda for having us. We want to encourage everyone to visit the Daily Grind whenever you can and support the work these ladies are doing.

On Saturday, January 7, we had a great program at Troutville Baptist Church. Our thanks to Barbara Cowan for believing in our music enough to arrange this concert. We learned afterward that some in the church were unsure what to expect from the band given that the term "Christian rock" covers a wide spectrum of music. However, those in attendance were warm and unbiased, and pretty soon we all found ourselves in the middle of an enlivened evening of music and worship. Afterward, we got the opportunity to meet and talk with many new friends. The connection with the people at Troutville was undeniable, and we look forward to seeing them all again. Some of them actually come out to the Daily Grind the next week where we did it all over again. Thank you for your support.

January 5 - Happy New Year from 2MJ! We want to thank all of our friends who have supported this ministry during the past year. We are excited about 2006 and the opportunities that await us. We are currently working on a cd which will be available in the next few months. We are also proud to be a part of the Friday night Christian music concert series at The Daily Grind coffee house in Salem. We'll be performing there on the second Friday of each month. We are in the process of finalizing several bookings for winter and early spring. These will be added to the calendar once details are worked out.

We look forward to seeing all of you soon. Please stay in touch, and may God smile upon you all in 2006.

October 4 (Jeff Hill) - Last week I had the opportunity to attend a conference/revival in Shelbyville, TN. I was asked to lead the praise and worship music at this conference by my friends Dr. Don Barnes and his wife Saundra. Dr. Barnes is a physician who practiced in the Roanoke area before moving to Shelbyville nearly thirty years ago. He retired from medicine there and now spends a great deal of his time involved in various mission projects and outreach ministries. His work has taken him to Africa and Central America.

The conference was incredible. The speakers for all four nights were a father and son from Kenya, Africa, Francis and Dalmas Bushebi. Reverend Bushebi has established over three hundred churches in Kenya and is truely a remarkable man of God. The powerful stories about this man's life are too numberous and detailed to share here.

I do want to share what God is doing for the band as a result of this conference. While there, I spoke with many different people from many different churches and organizations who are all interested in using 2MJ for various ministries and outreaches in the Shelbyville and Nashville areas. Please pray for us as we endeavor to take advantage of the opportunities God presents to us. We want to seek His guidance and honor Him in all that we do.

Sept. 14th, 2007 Hey everyone, 2MJ is back on the road, and playing . We are excited about getting out to see you guy's. We are working on new material to perform, and are looking forward to playing music somewhere near you! If your interested in booking 2MJ, contact us thru either this website, or our MySpace page. Keep an eye on one of the bands websites for dates near you.
